Bets august 11th

Rangers ML (-145) 1 unit

  • I like the Rangers to keep their momentum going against this Angels team that has struggled all season. Ryan Johnson comes into this matchup at 2-6 with a 7.11 ERA, which gives the Rangers a good opportunity offensively. Texas also won the opener of this series 4-1, so I’m riding them again tonight. 

White sox ML (-148) 1 unit

  • I like the pitching advantage for Chicago here, especially with Nick Lodolo making his first start back from the IL. Sean Burke has been solid this season with a 3.08 ERA and 144 strikeouts, compared to Lodolo’s 4.60 ERA. At -148, I think the White Sox are worth backing at home. 

Braves ml ML (-124) 1 unit

  • Atlanta is coming off a loss to the Mets, but I like them to bounce back tonight at home. Martín Pérez has been pitching well with a 1.42 ERA over his last 19 innings, while Nolan McLean has a 4.67 ERA over his last three starts. At only -124, I like the value on the Braves to even up the series. 

Skenes over 6.5 strikeouts + nrfi + paul skenes more strikeouts then eury perez (+255) 1 unit

  • This parlay is built around trusting Paul Skenes to have a strong night on the mound. Skenes has 162 strikeouts through 129.2 innings this season, compared to 121 strikeouts in 109.2 innings for Eury Pérez, so I like Skenes to get over 6.5 and finish with more Ks. With Skenes and Pérez both starting, I also like the chances of both pitchers getting through the first inning without allowing a run.

Red sox ml + 1+ abreu hits + NRFI (+385) 1 unit

  • And now we are back here with the Red Sox. I’m taking a little more risk here for the +385 payout, but I like how the legs work together. Abreu has 111 hits in 115 games this season, so I like his chances of getting one at some point, while Patrick Sandoval and Dylan Cease give the game a strong enough pitching matchup for the NRFI. If Boston can get through Cease and do their damage later in the game, I like their chances of taking this one. This is a bit more bias of a bet to be honest but I do feel Boston won’t drop this one tonight.
